NEW LAKE RECORD CARP - MASSIVE 29.1KG MIRROR
History was made again at Fishing Adventure on 2 July 2022. Fisherman Ray Nijhuis managed to catch an impressive mirror carp of no less than 29.1 kilograms (58.2 pounds) on swim 4 - a new milestone and the official lake record for this type of carp.
The catch took place at a depth of five metres, where Ray had fitted his rig with an Insectamino boilie from FA Baits. The bait proved irresistible to this massive carp. After an exciting fight, during which the fish resisted vigorously several times, Ray finally managed to land the mirror safely. The adrenaline was palpable at the water's edge and the relief and joy great when it became clear exactly what kind of fish he had brought in.
The mirror carp immediately impressed with its full build, broad shoulders and beautiful scale pattern. It was not only a fish of size, but also one with character - a real dream catch that shows what is possible at Fishing Adventure. Catches like this are the result of years of caring for the fish stock, using quality baits and a well thought-out approach at the waterfront.
Ray, who has been fishing passionately for many years, called it "one of the greatest moments of my fishing career." And rightly so - you don't catch a carp of this calibre every day. His dedication, experience and the right equipment came together at the perfect moment.
