From Thursday 21 May to Saturday 23 May 2026 Fishing Adventure is once again all about pure top-level predatory fishing during Bellyfiction 2026. This international bellyboat and kayak tournament has become one of the most challenging and professionally organised predatory fishing events in Europe.
Three days are all about tactics, perseverance and maximum focus on the water. Every session counts. Every centimetre can be decisive.
5 Match Sessions - 9 Different Types of Fish
Bellyfiction 2026 is distinguished by a dynamic competition format where in 5 official sessions will be fished for as many as 9 different types of fish:
- Pike
- Zander
- Perch
- Catfish
- Sturgeon
- Striper (Striped Bass)
- Black Bass
- Rainbow trout
- Asp (Predatory bleak)
The addition of the Asp makes the competition even more technical. This fast rover requires precision and timing, adding to the tension in the standings.
Each species has a minimum size and specific point factor. This means that strategy plays a crucial role. Do you go for certainty or aim for that one big fish that makes all the difference?
Bellyboat and Kayak - One Level Playing Field
Bellyfiction 2026 is accessible to both bellyboat anglers as kayak anglers. Both disciplines fish under the same competition rules and within the same time blocks.
Fishing will only take place from the vessel during official sessions. Safety comes first: wearing a life jacket is compulsory. Electric motors are allowed according to the rules in force.
This combination of disciplines makes for a broad, strong and international field of participants.
Fishing Adventure - 40+ hectares of Predator water
The event will take place on Fishing Adventure's impressive lake in Enschede. With over 40 hectares of water area, depth differences and a strong predatory fish stock, this venue offers everything a serious competition needs.
Thanks to the controlled nature of the water, clear rules and fair measurements can be guaranteed. Marshalls are present on the water and catch-and-release guidelines are strictly followed.
Water quality and fish stock make Bellyfiction a real showdown between anglers and fish.
