NEW LAKE RECORD STURGEON - BELUGA OF 2.45 METRES
On 1 November 2022, Laurens van Emmerik experienced a day to remember at Fishing Adventure. During an intensive fishing session, he managed to catch a giant Beluga Sturgeon no less than 2.45 metres long - an unprecedented catch and immediately the new lake record for this impressive species.
The power and size of this fish made a deep impression, not only on Laurens himself, but also on bystanders who witnessed the moment. The fight lasted for quite some time and demanded the utmost from rod, technique and patience. When the sturgeon finally came to the surface, it became immediately clear that this was an exceptional specimen.
The Belugasteur is known for its strength and streamlined build, and this catch showed why. Majestic and powerful, the fish finally slid back into the water - a moment of respect and wonder.
